Explaining Beachcomber’s Purezyme

Purezyme is one of Beachcomber’s “Natural Wonder Products”. It’s a 100% biodegradable Lipase Enzyme, a microbial liquid, similar to the enzymes in your digestive tract that break down food. It helps breaks down the tiny organic fragments that form in your water and make it cloudy. Purezyme attacks these particles and splits them into smaller forms. In doing so, it clears up your water and prevents the formation of bad odors created by the cloudy water.

The Ultimate Hot Tub Water Clarifier

Purezyme is extremely beneficial for your hot tub water because it prevents scum lines, which are caused by body oils. During the winter, Purezyme can also extend water life and make it comfortable to use for a longer period of time.

Directions for use:

  • Add Purezyme to your tub along with your weekly Bromine or Chlorine system. Do not use Purezyme with Care Free or Fusion.
  • After adding Purezyme to your tub, wait 6 hours, then circulate the tub for 15 minutes on high speed.

what does care free do and how often should I use it? How often should I use soft and what should I not use with it?

    1. Care Free is a conditioner. Soft can be used every week or so, and it can be used with Care Free.

  2. Deanna says:

Does this mean I can’t use purely me if I’m using the care free system?

    1. Hi Deanna,

You can use Purezyme with Chlorine or Bromine systems.

Let me know if you have other questions.

I’,m getting a yellow colony of biofilm buildup in my spa filter. Its a new hot tub and I have been very diligent with following the Beachcomber recommended guidelines for water treatment. It does get used approximately every other night by two adults.
I use the carefree system and I am wondering if purezyme would help with this, or can you tell me of another product that might get rid of this before it colonizes in the pipes?

    1. Hi Dan,

Adding Purezyme will help get rid of this problem. You may also want to clean your spa filter thoroughly with Filter Cure/Pure.

If after using both products the problem doesn’t clear up, I would suggest doing a drain and fill of your hot tub. Once drained be sure you completely wipe down all of the acrylic and jets.

      Thank you,

      The Beachcomber Team
