How a HEATSHIELD™ Saves You Money

Before the fast pace and burgeoning bills of the holidays, the Fall is a great time to save money. Plus, you need a hot tub cover to seal in heat during the cooler months, so it’s worth remembering how critical your cover choice is to energy efficiency and cost savings.

How Investing in a Heatshield Cover = Cost Savings

A HEATSHIELD™ by Beachcomber is designed for maximum energy efficiency and boasts 45% more insulating power than industry standard hot tub covers. Designed to lock in your hot tub’s heat and energy, the HEATSHIELD™ will save you up to $500 per year in heating costs!*

Why is this? What makes a HEATSHIELD hot tub cover perform better?

    Made in Canada

Every Beachcomber HEATSHIELD™ is proudly made in Canada with quality materials and craftsmanship, making it an investment that will withstand the elements and last the test of time.

    Heat-Sealed Construction

The airtight, heat-seal design effectively keeps the cold air out, which will maximize the longevity and performance of your cover.

    Durable Against All Elements

Reinforced light-weight aluminum keeps the structure of your cover looking like new. Mildew, moisture, and UV rays are simply no match against the marine grade vinyl skin!

    Two Year Guarantee

We stand behind our products. This is our commitment to our customers. Our HEATSHIELD™ will perform as promised.

    Consider also:

Given how critical a high performing cover is to conserve heat, save electrical costs and keep dirt and debris out of your hot tub, we cannot overemphasize the importance of its regular use. When well maintained, the HEATSHIELD™ is very easy to remove. And combining it with a cover lifter will make nightly use even easier. The Airlift and Slide ‘n Store Extreme are two options worth checking out!

And if you purchase your HEATSHIELD™ before October 8th, you’ll get a FREE Drain & Fill Tote (valued at $129).

  • Choosing the Best Placement for Your Hot Tub

Choosing the Best Placement for Your Hot Tub

As the weather worsens, keep in mind that the oasis of the Beachcomber in your backyard is just a few steps away. Or so it should be. By keeping your hot tub close to your home and easily accessible, you’ll be able to quickly step in and enjoy its incredible hydrotherapeutic benefits, even throughout the rains of fall and deep freeze of winter.

    Placing Your Hot Tub

Beachcomber owners surveyed say that the optimal placement for your hot tub is within 10 feet from your back door. You’ll also want it conveniently located to a place inside for drying and changing and close to a water line and hose for filling.

Also ask yourself the following questions:

    • Who will get the most use out of the hot tub? If you have small children, safety will undoubtedly be one of your top concerns, so factor in any railings, shrubs, trees or overhanging gutters as obstacles, when planning placement for space efficiency.
    • Will you be inviting friends out to enjoy it? Is seclusion your main goal? Or would you prefer a more central location? If seclusion is your preference, think about building an enclosure or putting it in a gazebo-like structure, with curtains that can be closed or open.
    • Will you have to install any privacy features? A small space can lend itself well to a cozy hot tub installation, but you may have to think about shielding accessories such as patio umbrellas or strategic shrub placement.

And remember to plan your delivery route as well, for a smooth and efficient installation process. For more on installation best practices, download the Beachcomber Hot Tubs Pre-Delivery Guide.

When deciding on placement, keep in mind that a Beachcomber hot tub can sit on any foundation that is level and can support its weight. Cement patio tiles or interlocking bricks are just some of the relatively simple solutions for you to create a solid foundation for your hot tub. Just ensure you avoid installation in a low area where water may accumulate and damage the equipment, and that your hot tub is positioned so access to the equipment compartment will not be blocked.

    Beachcomber Tip:

Remember to keep your hot tub covered when not in use and placed far enough away from low hanging branches to save you time and energy in cleaning out tree needles, leaves, branches, or sap.
