Morning Berry Power-Up Smoothie

Giving yourself a boost in the morning is key to having a successful day. Part of getting that boost is firing up your digestive system and supplying your body with nutrients. The healthy calories provided by this smoothie are easy for your system to break down, which is a great thing in the morning because your system is just charging itself up.

Another bonus of doing a smoothie for breakfast is the brief prep time. Instead of skipping breakfast, which is the most important meal of the day, or eating something less than nutritious, this berry smoothie provides your body everything that it needs.

¼ cup frozen strawberries                           ¼ cup frozen blueberries                              ¼ frozen raspberries

¼ cup pomegranate juice                             1 tablespoon vanilla protein                        1 tablespoon honey

1 tablespoon lemon juice

  1. Throw everything into a blender and purée until smooth.
  2. Drink, enjoy and be happy!

Beachcomber Hot Tip: Use fresh fruit for a stronger tasting, healthier smoothie. Also, this recipe is for an individual smoothie, to make one that will last you a few morning, buy a larger blender and triple or quadruple the recipe.

Finally, if you don’t have pomegranate juice, feel free to use orange instead.
