Hot Tub Yoga – Pose #7

Hermet Crab

Difficulty: Advanced

Place your feet on opposite sides of your hot tub and bend your legs like a crab to stretch your abdominal and leg muscles.

How to do this pose:

Stand up on the seats of your hot tub with your core above the footwell. Start by steadying yourself on the seats. Be sure that you’re strong on your feet and are ready if one of them starts to slip. Once comfortably positioned, bend your legs and clasp your hands in front your body. Do your best to bend your knees to a 90 degree, or as far as you can.

With this position, it’s best to slowly sink into it. This allows your muscles to slowly benefit from the stretch. This same principle applies when finishing the stretch.
