Beachcomber Error Codes 101 – Temperature

If you’re experiencing problems with your Beachcomber hot tub, it’s important that you check the tub control panel for any error messages. These messages will help guide you when trying to troubleshoot your own hot tub or explain the issue to a certified technician.

Here are some examples of error messages and the subsequent actions required:

 

Message Meaning Action Required
OHH or HH The hot tub has overheated –

The hot tub has shut down. One of the sensors has detected a temperature of 118°F / 47.8°C at the heater.

DO NOT ENTER THE WATER.

 

Remove the heatshield cover and allow water to cool. Once the heater has cooled, reset by pushing any button. Check to see if the knife valve on return side of the heater is closed, if closed ensure that all knife valves are in the up or open position. If hot tub does not reset, shut off power to the hot tub and call your Beachcomber store.

OHS or OH The hot tub has overheated –

The hot tub has shut down. One of the sensors has detected that the hot tub water temperature is 110°F / 43.3°C at the heater.

DO NOT ENTER THE WATER.

 

Remove the hot tub Heatshield and allow water to cool. At 107°F / 41.7°C the hot tub should automatically reset.

Follow action required for “OHH”. If hot tub does not reset, shut off power to the hot tub and call your store.

ICE or IC “Ice” –

Potential freeze condition detected.

No action required. The pumps and blower will automatically activate regardless of hot tub status.
